Hey folks! Guess what? We ditched the beaches this time and went for the misty mountains instead. Say hello to Coorg – the Scotland of India!
Day 1: Mysore Madness
Date: March 14th
Place: Mysore
Our adventure kicked off at precisely 12:10 AM when we boarded the train to Mysore. Expectations? Sky-high! Sleep? Non-existent!
We reached Mysore at 7 AM, and obviously, the first thing we did was take the mandatory “I Love Mysore” photo—because, well, who doesn’t love a good cliché? Checked into the hotel, had a tea-fueled wake-up session, and off we went to explore!

First stop: Somanathapura (Chennakeshava Temple). Let me tell you, this temple is not just a bunch of stones. It’s an architectural masterpiece where every single stone has intricate carvings. Ancient engineers, you have my respect!

Next, we hit Srirangapatna, an island town on the Kaveri River. First up was the Tipu Sultan Museum, where we geeked out over wall paintings, old coins, and weapons. But history makes us hungry, so… LUNCH BREAK!

Post lunch, we found ourselves at the riverbank of Kaveri. And what do you do when you see a river? Jump in, of course! Floating in the water like happy ducks, we almost forgot we had one last stop— St. Philomena’s Church and Mysore Palace. We reached just in time for the evening light show, and wow, the palace was a golden dream. Absolutely breathtaking!

To wrap up the day, we did some street strolling, grabbed dinner, and finally crashed at the hotel.
Day 2: Chilling in Coorg
Date: March 15th
Place: Coorg (Talacauvery)
Early morning, we started to Mysore and hit the road to Coorg. The drive? Pure magic! Fog, greenery, and a chill in the air even in March. Winter here must be next-level cool!
We reached Madikeri by 11 AM, booked a homestay (because fire camp), rented scooters, and off we went to Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Kaveri River. The ride? Just us, empty roads, and endless green landscapes. Nature lovers, this is your paradise.

At Talacauvery, we stood in awe of the serene beauty. A few kilometers away was Triveni Sangam, where three rivers meet. Spiritual or not, this place just hits different.

Geethanandhan –> லட்டு எங்க டா ??? (Where is the laddooo ?????????????)
The ride back was just as fun—snacks, pit stops, and endless laughter. We picked up dinner and headed back to our homestay for a bonfire night.
15°C, fire crackling, and 15-year-old friendship stories—what more could you ask for? We stayed up until the last ember died out before calling it a night.
Day 3: Elephants & Monks
Date: March 16th
Place: Coorg (Dubare Elephant Camp, Golden Temple, Harangi Reservoir)
This was THE DAY I had been waiting for—ELEPHANTS! We zoomed off on our scooters to Dubare Elephant Camp, an island that requires river-crossing to enter. Lucky for us, the water was low, so we walked across like adventurers.

And then—trumpets! Two elephants greeted us with the loudest welcome (okay, fine, they were just enjoying their bath, but let me dream). Getting up close to these gentle giants? Unmatched experience!
Next stop: Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple). The peaceful vibes, the golden structures, and the monks deep in prayer—it felt like stepping into another world.

Our final stop was Harangi Reservoir, a dam famous for its breathtaking view (and for being in a Rajnikanth movie—Linga fans, take notes!). We wrapped up the evening with a musical fountain show, because why not dance one last time?

Day 4: Falls & Farewells
Date: March 17th
Place: Coorg (Abbey Falls & Shopping)
The last day already? Nooooo!
We kicked off the day with a visit to Abbey Falls. Though the water flow was a bit low, the scenic beauty was still top-tier. A little trek, a lot of photos, and a final group selfie later, we moved on to shopping mode.

Chocolates, coffee, spices, souvenirs—you name it, we bought it. Finally, with hearts full and wallets empty, we started our journey back to Mysore. But this time, we took a different route—one with denser forests, a surprise rain shower, and even a wild elephant sighting!
Back in Mysore, we made one last mandatory stop—Mysore Pak shopping! No trip is complete without this legendary sweet. A2B was our final dinner spot before boarding the train back home.

As always, the trip felt way too short. But hey, the adventure doesn’t stop here. See you on the next one!
Until then, stay wild and keep traveling!
